Fiery Armageddon: more than 100 people died in a fire at a wedding in Iraq.

The death toll was 114 people, including children, and about 150 were injured, The Guardian writes .

Quoting local media, the publication reports that the fire started after fireworks were set off during a celebration at a wedding in the Hamdaniya district of Iraq's Nineveh province.
“The fire resulted in the collapse of some parts of the ceiling due to the use of flammable and inexpensive construction materials,” Iraqi civil defense authorities said in a statement.

X (Twitter) writes that the bride and groom are also among the dead.
