I am embarrassed to say I have sickle cell anemia and never knew the black panther party brought attention to this disease. All the good things they did is amazing. I grew up only hearing negative things and to be scared of them. Thank you for educating me and many other.

Way back then a black lady and two white children weren't even allowed to look at each other or sit down to have a conversation like this one. Now thanks to them we can live next to who we want, talk to who we want, play with who we want without any consequences. Change. Something that can only occur if you truly want it to. This was amazing

As a college student, I have not been taught or heard of the Black Panthers once in my schooling until now, not even in class. Why aren’t we teaching this in schools today? Very sad but I’m glad I’m learning about it today and to start spreading this knowledge and learning more.

I like how he pointed out denying necessities to people is also considered "violence, " like food and healthcare, because it ultimately leads to death from starvation or disease. It's kind of like how "neglect" is considered abuse. "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." -MLKJ

Exactly, if you strike at my child, I’ll strike back. I hate how people just stripped the philosophies of King and X, and just made them peace and violence. The Black Panthers were not a hate group and honestly the government just liked King more

Black Panthers gave us an ambulance service. They put children in daycare!!! They did the most. But they get looked at as terrorists cuz they were BLACK!!! I'm so glad this was done.

Funny how they never really taught us about the Black Panther movement in school...or in my school at least🤔

I’m 14 years old and haven’t learned about the Black Panther Party until now. History classes don’t teach us kids these things, but instead want to teach us about slavery and the KKK.
