*For great nose-related care products (better than Afrin long-term):*

I'm 50 but started taking spray when I was 18. Been to doctors, all kinds of medication, tried every single tip I've heard in those 32 years. Nothing worked. So I quit cold turkey about 2-3 weeks ago. Still have to sit in bed, so blocked especially at night. But... I can now happily say that most all day long I'm not blocked anymore. And as I lay in bed now I'm surprised that I'm not blocked now. So jut do it. And it is easy for me to say. 32 years and if I could do it. You can do it! You're gonna feel so free after 4-5 days when the worst is over 😊

Its more than this. A few years ago I had seasonal allergies as I sometimes do and my wife recommended nasal spray. Never used it before and it seemed to work...at first. By the third day my nose and even my eyes felt like they would swell up whenever I didnt use the spray. The allergies had been a nuisance but this was debilitating! My nose ran constantly, my eyes watered and I literally could not breathe at all through the nose. This happened any time I did not use the spray every few hours. I tried to stop but it was so bad I couldnt sleep, I couldn't work and after a day or two of this I would use the spray again. Tried just using different brands, using it in one nostril, weaning myself off, but each spray seemed to reset the clock and I would be completely miserable again. This went on for months and was much much worse than any allergies I have ever had in my life. When it was clear nothing else wold work I finally just had to stop entirely and hope my nose would eventually clear. It was NOT fun. Last year I was having night allergies and my wife again suggested nasal spray. I figured one spray couldn't hurt...what a bone head. Yeah, it cleared my head, but the next day I could not breathe from my nose at all. So essentially for me, using a nasal spray for an hours peace is now traded for a couple days of misery. Never again. These sprays should not be OTC

For those that are looking for a solution so the problem of having used the nasal spray and now you have to use it all the time because if not your nose is so stuffed you can’t breathe: the only thing that will help is if you just stop using the nasal spray and suffer through the pain of feeling like you cant breathe. Eventually they will become unstuffed. Then proceed to never use nasal spray again.

Addicted? Is that really the correct term? I prefer dependant. These people are not junkies y'know. It's not like people are getting high from the ability to breath easier. Afrin isn't like crack or whatever. Ooh can't wait to get my fix of... air. Yeah man rock'n'roll.

My nose was blocked and my mum went to the pharmacist who recommended otrivine. After 7 days, I tried to stop as said on the box hut I couldn't. I called a doctor at who suggested saline but it doesn't work. When close to 2 weeks passed I decided to taper off by only using ut in 1 nostril. It's been a week and while my congested nostril has gotten slightly better whenever I donuse the spray in my other nostril, it gets blocked. Not being able to breathe through my nose gives me mad anxiety. I might try diluting with salt water

I briefly had one when I was 13. It was during allergy season. One night in late May I used it so much I eventually got a nosebleed. That was my wakeup call.

You sound like you're very rigidly reading out of a textbook, loosen up, stop reading a script, use some voice fluctuation. Too robotic. Friendly suggestion.

Do one nasal cavity at a time. It works.

I'm sorry but the way you speak is unbearable and hard to follow. Great content and good effort, but if you work on your delivery you'll get more views.
