Why Nauru loves Abkhazia

The Pacific island nation of Nauru is extremely enthusiastic about its diplomatic relations with two Russian-backed breakaway republics: Abkhazia and South Ossetia. These countries are all small, poor, and 8,000 miles apart, but yet dignitaries fly back and forth between them constantly. Here's the full story.

I want to say something that probably not many people here know. In 1944, some residents of the North Caucasus were deported to Central Asia. They were accused of collaborating with the Germans against the Soviet Union, then in 1957 these people were sent back. The Georgians returned their homes and territory to the North Caucasians without any problems. I want to say that Georgia does not want foreign territory and Georgia only protects its historical territory, which belongs to it. Abkhazia and South Ossetia are an integral part of Georgia.
