Sikaflex and Mor-flexx caulking.

I used Rain-Gutter as the first caulking was deep and the membrane was torn Rain-gutter caulking is stronger than Mor-flex, but I did want a sandy finish hence the Mor-flex on top.
Quikrete also makes caulking with sand, which is just as good as Mor-flex.
This is another way to repair a large structural crack in a cement stucco wall with Sikaflex 1A polyurethane caulking, then Mor-Flxx caulking with sand, or throw some stucco sand in it.

The video here explains a similar way of repairing structural cracks.
How to fix a huge crack in stucco.

Fix a large structural crack with polyurethane caulking. Note that this caulking is a real drag to work with as it’s far from water-soluble or can be cleaned up with water.

This professional-grade caulking is a powerful adhesive sealant capable of adhering even porous bricks together.
How do I know this fact?
I repaired a brick retaining wall that a car hit for my neighbor, and today, 20 years later, kids are still walking on it.
This caulking ain’t engineered or designed for being user-friendly or applied pretty, but instead, it’s the king or, as they say, these days, the goat of caulking.

The crack shown here is structural, meaning it will always move.
I feel it’s best to use a flexible material under the circumstances.

There are about 20 different methods to repair this crack; however, this is what I would do if it were my home.

I had a guy do a patch repair for me before the month was out I was already seeing cracks again he wouldn't repair it and blocked my phone number. I finally got the nerve to try to do this myself .... It started out messy but I ended up doing a pretty good job I want to thank you Kirk. " Hopefully it holds up for me" lol Thanks a lot.

I have installed sealants professionally for 40 years and I was prepared tell you all the things you are doing wrong but it kinda makes sense. I didn’t see how you cleaned the joint but it appeared you cleaned it pretty well. The one thing I might have done different is tool the urethane to make sure it was bonded to the sides of the joint before adding the textured sealant

Evening Joshua Valenzuela, expanded foam work very well, when it done expanding take a troel or putty knife and scrape of the excess. Sika-flex caulking is better and stronger, but I have use many cans of the foam stuff too.
Best wishes,

Big Steve, how are you, yes it was rain buster, I called in rain gutter but as you know because you’re a fella who buys and applies nothing but the best for your company. It’s an alternative to my sikaflex polyurethane caulking. I usually keep a case of each on my truck they say this rain-buster 900 Polycarbamate sealant & adhesive is the ultimate in waterproofing and sealing, I agree it is high-grade polyurethane. But of course I’m no engineer.
Have a good weekend!

Hi Kirk
I am a big fan of your plastering. You are telling all the right thing about foundation movings .I have seen houses no more than 5 years old with cracks. I am working with plastering in Denmark and have a hard time explaining customers why cracks occurs.
Pardon my english.😉

Was super helpful. Had my stucco repaired and the crack reappeared because the guy only put stucco on and didn’t fix the crack first.

Hey Kirk, we have a crack in the wall similar to that one and we were thinking of using sika Mortar Fix to try and seal the crack. It has similar properties to that of sikaflex and is a polyurethane caulk. Would you say it is a good idea?
