It does add up tho, he defaulted to his onetrick, paced his climb over 3 months, and just didn't soft int his games. He has also adapted his playstyle a bit, which he did not do in the beginning. I am not a fan boy, not by any stretch of the imagination as I got really tired of the whole bit around Neace, but this was a genuine climb where he streamed every game, so anyone can feel free to watch the vods

Also he struggled before because it was pre season and he was trying things out not caring about climbing that much, he played jungle then and when he got to masters it was mostly mid.

lp changes definitely a big factor
also a big factor is the hate surrounding him
he felt the pressure to clear his name, so he prob grinded the shit out of the game and probably pushed himself to be better
