I never understood this scene when I was a kid, now I’m obsessed with it. These guys are talented. If someone told me I was a cartoon crab apologizing to a zoo-plankton for my behavior. I’d tell the studio that I can’t do it.

Mr Krabs apologizing was actually so heartwarming, they were friends and now they're famous frenemies, I'm crying.

I like how it starts out with the silly transition music and then dives into an emotional scene between Mr. Krabs and Plankton. you know Mr. Krabs is very sad and very remorseful here and genuinely feels awful for the things he's done by the tone in his voice and the look in his eyes, and the fact that his apology was more than just "I'm sorry".

So fuckin deep... A tragic story about a beautiful friendship ruined by money. But for Mr. Krabs, he grew up poor. It wasn't greed, it was trauma. For Plankton, he just wanted to prove he was a genius by being a success. Really it wasn't about money at all...

Despite this being a whole act to get back at Plankton, I felt like this was the one moment Krabs felt bad for his actions, not only that but it made him realize that he misses the friendship they had together.

I'd wish this had been a genuine moment. This scene feels like it belongs in a different episode, much better written episode.

U can really tell it was a genuine apology from mr krabs on his end about how he did all those cruel things to plankton and how at the end of the episode they made up u could tell they was really close and i really hope in future episode they hung out more instead of being rivals 0:17 to 0:25 u can see the detail of sadness in mr krab eyes this episode is legendary ❤️ and right before plankton picks up the phone he’s surprised its mr krabs because he felt like mr krabs wasn’t technically the apologetic person that why mr krab has that look of guilt at 0:32

Funny thing is that this episode came out before friend or foe, meaning that they had the idea of them being old friends in mind before friend or foe.

One of the most underrated moments on the show. I know plankton act was for show but I fr believe that encounter was sincere from both sides

If the showrunners actually took the risk and made this episode genuine with it's character development, I feel the later seasons could have been better.
