I want to run something by you. My son had an ingrown hair on the back of his thigh. While it never came to a head for extraction, it developed a big, hot to the touch, red circle. Which started to turn black. Took him to the ER, where they thought it was a spider bite, until the doctor saw his BP was high and his body temp was low. He ruled out the bite scenario and explained a reverse abscess resulting in sepsis. It was a scary week in the hospital. My question is, since he has recovered from sepsis, he has caught a few colds. He used to be my healthier child with a great immune system. What is life like after sepsis?
