I'm not quite as healthy as someone with a normal heart, but I'm not too far behind either. sometimes It's frustrating knowing I have this weigh me down sometimes but it doesn't put many limits on what I can do. Just do your best to take care of yourself and your body. If you've had the Fontan it's likely you've already gone through the worst of it. Science is constantly changing. You can have a long life.

My sister has HLHS and she is now 22 and also has liver cancer so she is getting a heart and liver transplant in about 2 years. She is happily living in London with her boyfriend who has one working lung! <3
