Some of California's mountains were treated to their first August snow in 20 years over the weekend while millions of Americans sweltered through continued high heat. A storm not only ushered in November-like temperatures in the Golden State, but also November-like snow. Snow is more common after later September in California's peaks, so even the ski resorts were surprised to see it. #CNN #News #California #Weather

This is a good sign for the West Coast. The weather has been unusually cooler than normal along the Pacific coast . I am hopeful that the Winter will be colder and a good snowfall will help the spring runoff.
