Australians know how to tent camp!!! Patriot Campers X1 & X2 : Overland Expo 2017

One of the things I learned when I went to the Overland Expo is that Australians know how to tent camp in style! In this video I take a quick look at their flagship trailer called the X1 which is compact yet is packed with everything you need to live off grid for weeks.

They also had on display their smaller X2 which is geared more for Jeeps and other small 4x4s. It has all the gadgets but uses a smaller pop up style rooftop tent instead of the larger flip tent.

They have perfected the art of taking all your gear in the outback in a trailer and added epic level tents on top of these trailers.

Their products are now being shipped to America so if you want the compactness of a trailer but all the amenities of a military base camp then you need to take a closer look at these trailer tents by Patriot Campers.

Love the Australia stuff. I think they do it right with the transformer trailer style where you sleep inside and the kitchen and everything else is outside. Closest I could come in the US on a budget was an old pop-up with a homemade outside kitchen and shower system. Poor mans Patriot.

Great videos of camping gear. Awesome for someone looking for ideas. I commute everyday to work and sometimes the long days are too much. I used to have a bumper pull trailer but don't fall behind on maintenance or you will have an expensive problem. Thanks

You need to check out Drifta Camping and 4WD. He's got a youtube channel. They make a similar rig, and he's got a bunch of vids showing them in action in the Australian bush.

So this pop-up trailer with suspention (model 490) starts at almost 40k USA with an optional port-a porty for $150 and an optional a/c for only $3, 500 more....well at least the plates and cups are free and they have a door that opens called a bar. does a bucket come with it to pour the water from the sinks? lol

Love these type setup but most are crazy expensive. I mean you could buy a nice 5th wheel or RV for the price of some of these setups. Just look at the price of some of the teardrop trailers compared to an "enclosed" trailer in the same dimensions. Thanks for posting up the great videos!!
