Faith Schools are a Menace!

Secular countries should not fund faith schools where religious brainwashing is done systematically. Secular Party of Australia does not endorse using Australian taxpayers' funding of these brainwashing factories.

Brainwashing children is evil. But thinking you can grow up children without any "brainwashing" is wrong : children will always learn what they get "around" when they are young. You canot grow up childrend in some kind of "Pure thinking, free from any endoctrination" - that idea is an "endoctrination" as well.
Considering that, we come to the point that it is much better for the society that children learn ideologies of seeking of peace, respect of life and respect of the difference and minorities. Ideologies searching violence, non respect for life, non respect of the differnce - that should be banned.

Im a hindu and I care about human and animal freedom and nature's well being. I don't think any other religion of today care as much.
Because other religions brag about exclusive rights to heaven and Hinduism worry about instilling virtues.
No aetheism or Abrahamic religion clears the litmus test of virtues.

Well put Sir! Folk ought to watch on youtube: Islamic School Science Failure. R. Dawkins at this Muslim school talking some burka clad students, saying they'll be doctors, scientists, lawyers with open minds to analyse, deduce etc.
He asks them about doing a scientific experiment in class & the result clearly contradicts the Koran. What do you believe to be true? The girl answered, "The Koran." Mind you, the classroom was devoid of benches, Bunsen burners, chemicals & their burka clad "teacher", didn't seem to know much about science.

Beliefs are not the problem. Everyone can keep his own perspective and imposing a secular (irreligious) perspective on someone is also an imposition on freedom. After all every new thought shines on its inventor as a view contradicting popular opinion. What we should be worried about is virtues and values. If it instills virtues like compassion, benevolence, fearlessness, unity or not.. do celebrated and quotable aetheist writers like Marx and Dawkins provide a framework for instilling virtues?

Well they don't have a clue but only and only Indic religions do that. I know that since I have seen it Yogic religions. So I think you or anyone should not try to weigh Indic religions like others that just brag as if they have exclusive rights for heaven .They can't be put equal to boxed minded invading suicide bombing religion..
