E4's Married At First Sight UK returned with a bang on Monday, 16 September, with the premiere episode seeing tensions sparked as a controversial 'wife swap' comment caused a stir among the grooms shortly after the show began.
Alex, who hadn't yet met his bride, ignited a firestorm by contemplating what steps he might take if he wasn't attracted to his assigned partner but took an interest in another groom's wife. His musings did not go down well, leading to heightened tensions behind the scenes.
