IMAX Enhanced is coming to Disney+!

It’s definitely exciting to be getting the IMAX aspect ratios on some of the films on Disney +
However, I’m also disappointed because Disney is going to continue to slowly abandon physical media by shelling out mediocre 4k Blu-rays without IMAX scenes and terrible audio (Atmouse) so that you are forced to stay subscribed to Disney +. I definitely understand that the pandemic hit IMAX really hard, so I don’t blame them for entering into this deal with Disney to make up some those losses.

That's great news - I wish disney could also have films in wide aspect be available without the pillar boxes for those of us who use ultrawide screens. There are web extentions for it but that's a zoom with drop in quality.

Hoping to see Tomorrowland, Alita: Battle Angel, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Beauty and the Beast (2017), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil get the IMAX Enhanced treatment on Disney+ too in the future!

Why on a streaming service with compressed quality like Disney Plus and not 4k bluray? And Disney Plus is not even available in all countries🤦‍♂️

Also i would love to see a 3d release with imax format on infinity war and endgame too but i guess disney thinks the format is dead so i guess it will never happen. But hey! One can dream...one can dream 😅
