What really sucks is when you're a brand new Christian and you just pick a church at random because you don't know that they're different from each other and you end up picking a progressive one. Thank God I figured that out and got out of there! 😬

I read my Bible every day, the whole book. I am and was raised Christian and go to church. I’m not worried about the general public, my goal has been to choose God. My prayers are always let Your will be done Lord, not mine.
I don’t lean liberal to escape hate, I lean left because we are told to care for those in need. We are told to be set apart while the world does what the world does. And we are called to love others, which I feel is done by letting others choose to follow God and His principles, it is clear to me in Gods word that each of us have free will. This business of people and pastors saying Christians who are liberal aren’t faithful is concerning. I’ve been a long standing fan of this channel but it does sadden me to see you guys take this route.

I want to share this with the female progressive members of my family but they don’t want to listen to anything that I want to share from the Bible. I don’t want to force it on them. And I know Jesus said to his disciples to brush the dust off your candles and go to the next city. Don’t give them your blessing. And it breaks my heart that I know one day or hour that if the Lord will it, that two laying down, one will be taken and the other left behind.

"Progressive theology" is for people who think the wide road is ok. These same people want warm and fuzzies, they are not interested in or want truth they want to feel "love" because apparently everything is about "love". They want instant gratification and are not willing to wait until the last days. Christians know the wide road leads to damnation so we struggle with the world and go for the narrow path. We know it will cause us temporal discomfort and pain but we do it for Jesus' glory rather than our own.

I would not consider myself an environmentalist, but i do care about the environment. Aren't we told to be good custodians of God's earth, so why the comments about environmental issues, please clarify.

I may be wrong, but I feel like "The Gospel Coalition" and Acts 29 are part of this. While much of their teaching is right on. They tiptoe around controversial issues and take a very unbiblical stance on social justice.

Progressive theology starts with a rejection of inerrancy and inspiration of scripture as well as any type of orthodoxy. They are big on orthopraxy. Until we understand that, we have no ability to reason with progressives. You can argue from scripture all day long but the lens through which they view cultural and societal issues is very different from the evangelical view.

Why is the environment mentioned as an example of progressive theology? I am very conservative theologically, yet also concerned about the environment. God calls us to be good stewards and unfortunately the human race is doing a lousy job.

I would never subscribe to progressive theology. I adhere to the 5 solas. Ppl don’t like it, they don’t need to be around me. We need to know where we stand; then stand strong!

I don’t know why caring about Gods creation (environmentalism) is necessarily ‘progressive’. Cycling to work and recycling plastic is hardly sacrificing to Molech! 😂🤣

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying there’s nothing wrong with secular (or even Christian) environmental movements. Human movements are always flawed. But living sustainably and caring about green issues is not automatically rebellion against God. Someone might even do it because they love God.

I got 1 minute in and had to pause. It’s worth mentioning that this labeling contributes to lots of division. It makes people think Christians are conservative, which isn’t always true. In its infancy, Christians were viewed as more liberal. That’s not the same as accepting of all viewpoints. Liberalism is different than progressivism, and conservatism is different than right-wing ideology. I find it very hard to see so many videos and opinions on “left wingers” and hardly any addressing Christian nationalism and far-right extremism. No matter if you’re left or right or somewhere in between, extremes will always be divisive, and people in ANY category are capable of sinning.
