Just to clarify the statement/text at 20:45. The ISO performance / noise of a7III & a7S III is only similar in raw files. Maybe the noise is little bit just larger but the around the same amount at the same ISO ranges. For video I think the a7S III is a mile ahead of the a7III which has great low light performance.

2. I didn’t think I would enjoy a deep comparison... oh man, my life is different when I am lusting after camera gear.
3. All profiles have their good spots - but overall, I enjoyed HLG3 in the video.
4. Your last statement... that is a difference between 2k and 3.5k. That is a lot of money. I am hoping to hear you break down that statement in the future.

May I ask you what is the lowest ISO for Low light condition without Noise when I shoot with HLG3, BT2020?

I find HLG3 in PP2 a good compromise between Standard (no PP) and S-Log3 (PP9) for up to street lamp lighting (ISO 8000). Once you get to moonlight level, I had to switch over to SLOG3 to get to 51200 ISO. Any higher I have to use NEAT NR.

Great video! Quick question, what are your settings for the Brandon Li ST? He says -9 highlights, +9 shadows, -7 sharpness, and DRO Auto but the sharpness can only go to 0? Was wonder what your take was on his settings, trying to nail down exactly what they are. Please let me know what you think and keep up the great work! :)

The Brandon li picture profile was my favourite when you were shooting during the day! Slog3 was great at night too. 10:00 "Finally, some darkness"...scene looks like it was shot during the day 😂 the camera is such a wee low light monster! And the city looks stunning at night 😍

Have you fully switched over to Luminar? Still got my subscription for lightroom/photoshop but I only tend to use it a few times a year; was actually considering trying out darktable. Oh wow...I just googled Luminar and it's a one-off payment! That would suit me better 😀

Thanks for sharing the video guys and it interesting to see all the comparisons. I see varying videos saying so many different profiles are best for low light. It gets confusing after a while. The camera is great in low light that’s a given though. I meant to ask can you do inbuilt timelapses with it where it spits out an .mp4 or .mov at the end?

Yes, low light king does not mean low light magic. You need to expose correctly, ! Specially at high ISO, I only use slog at base ISO, any dynamic range advantage disappear quickly as soon as as you change that ISO
