WHY ARE SCHOOL BUSES LATE?

I had a bus driver that was like 30 minutes late in the cold af winter. He also hit a mailbox I believe. He got fired, too.

I had a driver that was late EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. but the district was desperate so they we’re happy he showed up at all lol

I remember one time I was late for my bus and the bus driver legit stopped in the middle of the intersection let me on. She was the best driver I’ve ever had

One time we were late because it was snowing heavy and we have a really long driveway with an awkward turn so when the bus was backing down it he hit one of our trees and got stuck. At the time my dad tried pulling it out with his ford excursion but it wouldnt budge, we had to call one of our neighbors to drive his tractor down here and pull it out. We were an hour late and ever since then the damage left on the bus was still there up until i graduated and probably still is.

I remember one time one of my classmates driving past told us our bus broke down and probably won't pick us up. They offered to get us to school and we had to ride a different bus home at the end of the day.

in 12 years of school only had a bus breakdown while I was on it twice....same bus both times to lol

My bus driver is so chill. He changed my stop so it’s 100m and not 1km. He knows everyone’s names, he’s only sometimes late.

Earlier this year, my bus was 10 minutes late because their new route was just too long, and they had to wait for the bus line to schedule everything earlier.

I know in Maine we had an issue. ALL the busses were diesel. Winter comes along and the busses need to start and if you know anything about diesels you know they hate cold. Plus ice or snow. We had chains that would fling out under the tires with the push of a button. But yea diesel engine + winter = late

There was one time where I said brush driver completely skipped the first section of the route to be precise they skipped four stops

That was me yesterday with poor weather condition and the school was complaining on why we're late which I have 2 schools shuttle in the morning before that route

Dont miss waiting at the bus stop from 6:30 am to 7:30 am on a -3 degrees morning standing in line with crazy kids. They always bullied me while we waited. I tried eventually just waiting from inside my house to see if i could catch the bus going down the road from between the houses (difficult) which helped me not freeze or be uncomfortable next to strangers but id have to run to the stop and catch the bus 😂 which sometimes i didn't

I remember I had a substitute bus driver and matron they picked us up like an hour late but I didn’t get home until like 8 o’clock at night it was ridiculous
