In my opinion, dark energy has merged into our universe from outside the universe. Since we know the existant things basically energy and matter, which makes up the universe, we may conclude that only dark energy and dark matter is present outside the edge of the universe.



We live in a universe where everything is in positive, be it matter, be it energy or be it entropy. So outside the bubble, things could just be the opposite, which means dark matter and dark energy. And since this bubble consists of space and time, outside could be opposite. It's quite difficult to imagine such a " Place " without space and if space is occupied by matter, the outside is full of dark matter.
