Sold cars in my early 20s but after I got married and had 3 children.. i needed more consistent income so I got into insurance adjusting. I miss sales because there's something special about getting a customer who came in COLD and all of a sudden you got them sweating to buy a car.

I start at a dealer in 2 days…i was recently a truck driver. This video was gold. I’m hoping this will be my last career change. The money is definitely a motivator

Hi, I am about to do an interview to work at a toyota plant with no experience. But your videos are wanting me to be a car sales man. It sounds perfect to me since I am single 19 year old with no life, so I don't have a problem being at the dealership working everyday. I just need to work on my social skills.

I’ve been in sales for 2 years and I love it. But you’re spot on with all your pros and cons I’d say it’s definitely not for everybody

Interesting perspective, thanks for sharing. I think it’s important for customers to remember that while you should be as firm as possible during your negotiations, you should be kind at the same time.

I’ve done furniture sales for about 16 years. 6 years ago I tried the car business went to a big Ford dealership and after about 5 months it just didn’t workout. I never got leads, they tried to screw me out of a full deal every time I sold a car so I left. Went back to furniture spent the last 6 years at same store half as a salesperson and half as a manager. Just left and I’m gonna give cars another try I’m going to a Nissan dealership I’m hoping this time it really works out as I’m a big time car guy

Love your content & transparency. On the average how many cars a month you sale? Is it based of gross or units sold. Thanks for your inputs

I think another important point is listening to the customer and what they want/don’t want in a car.

11:50 “A service to make it easier for you to buy a car” yeah except that dealerships lobbied so hard to make it impossible for buyers to buy cars any other way. Private sellers are far and few between.

I also start as a salesman in 2 days. I live in a small town probably 200 people and the dealership and sounding towns only adds up to maybe 6, 000. On my interview I did notice about 5 car salesman and I was getting some hard looks. I’m worried about too much competition and not enough customers, but at the same time I also want the experience, I do need to pay bills just like everyone else…

That’s why dealer owners are multi millionaires . There’s no denying this fact .

Thanks for making this, I got offered a job in sales at a lot that has over 400 cars and in a busy area, hopefully it is worth it, I got offered a management job on a military base, and they offered a start of $55, 000 but I have management experience, they both offer benefits I just don’t want to lose out on the opportunity to max my income but at the same time I don’t want to find out I walk into a dead end situation to where I can’t go back and get the guaranteed salary. Tough decision and little time. I am driven, and motivated to work the fullest extent just feels like I’ll be fishing lol. But I know the more you fish the bigger fish will come
