The tire wear after 20K miles should speak volumes!

One of the easiest buys of my life. Dave is a straight shooter who tells it like it is an has the experience to back it up. I hope to find the guide very helpful in my upcoming used car purchase.

Thank you Dave and the team at Dave's Auto Repair!

Im a collision tech of 21 years and i quit doing collision for dealerships because they are hack shops. Just because ots a dealership doesnt mean its a quality repair. That front end is still swayed and the rear frame buckle is throwing gaps off because its still crushed. If you look underneath you will see a horrific buckle.

I like this. No BS, straight to the point and get things done. We need more mechanics like this.

He’s right on all that stuff we’ve been doing this for a long time too and that’s how we check cars out. Thank God I was an honest mechanic I like my customers.

Dave adds innuendo when he can. Wholesome isn't what you'd think, but honesty and integrity is what's more important

“This has been majorly wrecked in the rear” reminds me of my college days.

All said by Dave is good, although factories are starting to get lazy with their assembly. You will find even in the better car manufacturers that their is lower quality assembled vehicles, that is not obvious but will be seen by the keen eye.

A truly honest shop is usually so busy they will give you these tips rather than say bring it in we'll get at it right away and it will be the cheapest rates in town...This man is as honest as anyone I've seen...

Yep, we'd keep an eye for this stuff when i worked at Carmax, it was often a hint the car had structural damage beneath and if it didn't meet our detailed safety standards we wouldn't prep it for sale to customers. It would get auctioned off to local dealers.

Dave, you are truly a blessing to those of us who understand used vehicles; however, your indepth guide takes us above and beyond with your wonderful manual.

All car repairs should be recorded, no matter how small. Everything.

And those "salvage title" cars they only want to take 10% off now.. it's crazy. Should be 40% blue book.
But they know if they are patient then a sucker is born routinely .

The dealerships always pretend to fix the panel spacings and minor details. They never do, they never care.

A long time ago, I drove CDL vehicles. I kept it current for a long time, even after driving. I once rented a moving van (the reason, obvious). I did a complete CDL type pre-trip inspection. The guy with the clipboard following me around said, "I've never seen anyone do such a thorough inspection before signing the contract." I'm like, "Dude! It is my life on the line, not yours."

My Dad was a guru at looking at used cars. He was a body man and mechanic in his younger days.
