My dad was US Navy Air Sea Search and Rescue in the Vietnam war, HC-1 Det 1 Helicopter Combat Support Squadron. Initially trained with SEALS. Non-com but true hero none the less.

DUDE I lived in prince Rupert for 12 years! I now live in terrace bc an hour and 45 minutes drive from Rupert. I’ve driven the stretch of road from prince Rupert to Prince George many times, it’s truly tragic and terrifying. Walking around at night on the road in this place is one of the most dangerous things you can do here. The highway of tears is truly heartbreaking. Which is one of the reasons that the missing indigenous women movement is so important where I live.

So, with Mackie, we are left wondering 1. Why did she attend THIS house party? 2. Why did she agree to be driven instead of driving?
Her cousins were thoroughly interviewed, so assume those answers were there somewhere. We are also left with that she either WANTED to disappear or that she was disappeared. Attending a party, it’s possible that someone there knew she was being driven and where she would be later (her home). They then could’ve laid in wait. Who left the party before her — how well were they looked into? Forgive me, that’s the best thinking I can do at the moment with information given.
