Scott literally confirmed FNAF isn’t based on any true story. he made it cause of feedback from his previous game Chipper and Sons Lumber Co. that the characters looked like animatronics so he got inspired and made FNAF

All of you saying fnaf isn’t based on a true story your wrong because this incident had happened in 1960—1996 or somewhere around that but anyway near that time purple guy aka William Afton made a pizzeria of aftons family diner aka Fred bears family diner and put animatronics in there, then the incident happened “The bite of 83” were Michael and his friends stuffed his little brother into Fredbears mouth, and his little brothers frontal lobe was cut off and sometime later it was closed down, then William Afton made a new pizzeria with Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica, then William Afton had hired some people for a nightguard position and people had signed up, no incidents happened there from what I know, later fnaf 2 was made then the “bite of 87” happened then mangle tore off someone’s head, it was very bloody.
So yea fnaf is 100% REAL

Nah idk about fnaf. There’s other reasons fnaf started. It was from backlash on Scott’s actual friendly characters he created. People thought his characters looked like scary robots/animatronics
