Come over people, don't be deceived! I can explain Xbox's entire new business model right here and trust me they're still as dirty as ever!

Phil Spencer, your typical corporate shill working hard to capitalize off creative-types struggling to protect themselves from hostile takedown so they make a decent living and still be creative. Anytime you hear from the leadership at Xbox they never talk about how awesome a game is or have any excitement about anything related to games. Its always about the business and money aspect. Thats a huge clue as to what these guys are about!

Everything MS is doing is going to take money from devs and put it i their pocket! They want to be the middle man for everything and have devs do all the work while sucking all the creativity out of the studios with tight budgets and stupid release-schedules! Xbox division is just another lazy, mismanaged, toxic US brand run by a bunch of corporate parasites!

Xbox-brand's primary objective seems to be to use their deep-pockets to turn gaming into a subscription-service on every platform so they can control which devs make money and which devs dont! If they are trying to reduce the cost of buying games (cuz they can draw from M$ cash) and want to become the face from which you do everything (meaning they get cuts out of everything), they are trying to take all the money out of the industry for themselves. Sony's model still allows devs to go wherever they want PS5, mobile or PC and make money but Sony actually works hard to make a unique platform (PS5) with its unique controller, low price of entry and ease of use, the "best place to play".

MS is putting their pointless services on everything just so they can get a cut from everything. If a dev wants to develop for mobile or PC or a console let them do it without having to give MS a cut! MS will definitely put all the money in their pocket and drain the devs dry just like the music industry.
