How to Disable Inactive Window Scrolling or Auto Scrolling in Windows 10 FIX

Do you want to enable or disable the built-in inactive window scrolling feature in Windows 10? Not sure how to use the inactive window scrolling feature? In this guide, we will explain how to use the inactive window scrolling feature and how to enable or disable it in Windows 10.

Windows 10 introduced a feature I’ve been waiting years for: the ability to hover over an inactive window and scroll up and down with the scroll wheel. If you’d rather disable this, you can do so in Windows’ settings.

Issues addressed in this tutorial:
window scrolling on its own
snipping tool scrolling window capture
scrolling window screen capture

Microsoft has introduced one of the most polarizing features in Windows 10, Inactive Scrolling. Before the introduction of this feature, you would have to select a window to activate it, and then only could you scroll through the content. However, with this feature enabled, you can scroll through the content, even without activating the window. You just need to hover your mouse over it.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, and Samsung.

Although like 1/3rd of the video was a pointless intro, this was still mercifully short and to the point

Ahh, at last! Enable is the word! For years I have thought it was hard-wired to be disabled in MS programs and was living in constant state of annoyance.

I can't help but feel stupid because this was such an easy fix but I could not find it in the settings on my own and I'm 32 I've grown up with computers I just think Windows is the worst that's a personal opinion but they're the best at what they do for the most part they're just greedy lol
