As someone that plays swain often, having a swain gives you engage, disengage, peal, team fight power, and raw burst in lane. He can easily 1v1 the enemy adc if he is slightly ahead. He is a monster in team fights with hourglass and liandry's torment. Just a good dps support overall.

im a support main, and i have failed to see where the "normal support" type is haha i play enchanters but i stand next to my adc and poke the enemy laner constantly, my main is sona so unless they have a morgana or a hook champion against me, i will run you down and zone you from minions level 2. but i used to be the first type some time ago when i just started playing lmao i didn't know what pressure meant or why positioning is important
