It's been said before but I'm always amazed that a game from 2004 (2K5) had greater presentation and depth than a game in 2024. Just imagine what Madden could be like if EA had gone that route. It's almost unfathomable what the game would look like. People think that Ryan Moody is just bitching and complaining but ultimately he is pushing for the sole owner of the NFL gaming license to at least try to be comparable to a game from 20 years and three console generations ago. We should be way beyond all of this by now.

It's so crazy that EA has literally been using the same framework since Madden 06 on the 360. 3 generations worth of Madden titles refurbished from that game. Shame so many young people probably don't know Madden used to be built from the ground up every time a new console generation came out. Now they just port over, add nonsense like Amazon next gen stats and demand $70.

Madden 19 V. 6.0 will feature new and exciting features like:

- Tackling, and tackling with the hit stick. We are calling it "boom tech" this year. See, brand new!
- ALL NEW Team Builder, even though we had that back in the early 2000's. But, totally a new feature bro. Also, all of a sudden we can do it this year when we claimed the NFL was preventing us from doing it in the past since we removed it. Wowzers!
- BRAND NEW SIDELINES!!!! OMG!!! After 15 years we figured out how to do it!
- A NEW SUPERBOWL CELEBRATION CUTSCENE!!!!???!!!! What? We really are spoiling you guys now! And guess what legend we brought in to give away the trophy? Randy Moss, a guy who NEVER WON ONE!!!! Yeah! Relevance baby!
- NEW CUTSCENES for drafting (that was promised years ago, mind you)!!!!
- NEW DRAFTING STUFF: by that we mean we put new menus to cycle through...but don't they look nice?
- SORTING DRAFT PICKS BY RATINGS!!!! You could never do that bef- oh wait, we could already sort guys by 40 times, Shuttle, Cone, bench press back in the early 2000's....
- RECORD TRACKING!!! BRAND NEW!!! You could never, ever view the single season, career, or game records before and they would NEVER upate when they got wait....yes you could.
- ALL NEW PLAYER PERSONALITIES!!!! OMG again, we never, ever had a game that had this feature- Oh wait, we did in NFL Head Coach 06 and 09, and it was much more fleshed out than this game.
- COACHES HAVE TO DEAL WITH SITUATIONS LIKE IN REAL LIFE???!!!! WHAT? You mean that they will have to have players getting suspended for PED's, DUI's, DA's, and injuring themselves in stupid off season antics? Oh wait, we can't do that because that would be too real. We'd never do that- oh wait, that was in NFL Head Coach 09. But, no, no no, we have to protect the shield and can't have REAL things in this game.

And...after 7 or more years, you will have new broadcast teams that sound as life-like as Mike Tirico did in this voice over, which sounds like it was done by an AI that had sampled a few lines of his speaking and then generated this from a script.

I get on you sometimes Ryan but you didn't miss with this one. These text based storylines are killing me. Pure Dryness.. in 2006 we had a radio station that talked about things going on in our Franchise 20 years later we get a draft board thats easy to use lol

Not only is the “good to know” issue so bad, but it’s so unrealistic! Like Mike Tomlin is just sitting in his office texting his DC when his office is probably next door and the game plan is a huge deal, you are together in person going over it.

That segment you show about Mike Tomlin and his assistant, this stuff was in Madden 20. In the Madden franchise I ran on YT, I would take a screen capture, photo shop out what was written there, and make my own dialog boxes to make it resemble something that would actually happen.
