Madden 25: NEW Features In Franchise Mode!

I run through a quick season to go over some of the changes that happened to Madden 25 franchise mode. There were not a lot of major changes but there were some things added that could potentially lead to more immersion in your franchise.

Madden should take a look at 2Ks franchise mode. Being able to hire/upgrade actual position coaches, medical staff, the scouts themselves as well as dealing with certain personality traits from your coordinators below you and the management above you would make the game a lot more immersive. Some Defensive coordinators (like Steve Spagnoulo) aren’t going to leave their current position on a championship team to take on a head coach gig at a dumpster franchise late in their career, whereas young, successful coordinators WOULD be more likely to leave to make their own name in the business.

you could even double down on that idea by implementing a system for where the staff was beforehand. For example: if you’re hiring a coordinator who failed as a head coach elsewhere in the NFL, he would be comfortable in the league but also might be a bit timid in his playcalling due to criticism and his firing, whereas a new coordinator from college football might be more confident due to his recent success and promotion into the NFL circles, but could lead to him being brash and more risky plays being called and also wouldn’t have the level of experience in the NFL meaning he would have relatively empty skill trees.

they also removed the option to start as a player instead of a coach or owner in franchise mode because of the new coach cut scenes

i love they revamped the DB drills, the new kick meter pisses me off and i love it. You actually have to pay attention to different aspects of the kick. instead of tapping a button twice

Biggest mistake ever! It was fun to play as a created player and receive job offers and demand trade at the end of season and get all kinds of offers

Great video. IMO These are the dumbest scenarios that EA presents. No coach would ever answer questions like that. It just feels so forced and lame. Wish they would do better.

The changes to franchise are the main reason I’m in on Madden 25. Well that and we finally have a miner on the cover of something since Steve Young in QB Club 96 or something like that lol

On the QB sitting scenario: your QB2 is the holder for field goals & extra points (something no current NFL team does or has done for YEARS, but EA hasn't fixed still), so they still count against the games played stat (see 'General' tab on player stats screen)

Thanks for the video. A heads up about Franchise Mode (before you buy)... For those considering Madden 25 for Franchise Mode, if creating a Coach or Owner that looks like you is important, you are going to be disappointed. I haven't seen too many people at this stage that seem to be bothered by this, but for me, feeling immersed in Franchise Mode starts with being able to CREATE yourself in the game as a COACH or OWNER (like we see in EAFC Manager Mode & NBA2K MyGM). In Madden 25, you only a small handful of generic COACH faces and it doesn't allow you to customise. There is also no face, appearance, or customisation available for OWNER mode either. Instead, we are just given a silhouette. For me, this is disappointing. It's a small detail that could make a BIG difference to a lot of people. I don't think it would take much for EA to either add more faces or add a customisation option. I'm hoping they either patch in more faces/options or at least allow us to CUSTOMISE our own COACH/OWNER as soon as possible.

I wish they would fix the practice squad rule in franchise. It really sucks not being able to have veterans on the practice squad. We control a roster of 90 players in ncaa 25 😂

Did anyone have a problem in offline franchise with the news tab not updating until later in the season? (~week 13-15) I'd get through 1 or 2 seasons then there would be no news updates every year until a random late week.

this Madden is definetly not in the Top 5 due to some missing features that should be able to make it on a fully Current gen developed madden. It is a good game tho, different from 24 at least
