i actually didn't mind what i've seen of the second season. like the first one they've made charactuers of people to make fun of them. they're not supposed to be fully likeable. they have made it more on the nose about it but i kinda liked that for a clearer message that they're all weird, but it did make it a little less enjoyable imo

I think it was meant to be a nod to Confucius book burning &/or the fact these books have been collecting dust and mold for over 2 decades. I doubt they updated that much.
