I think it’s funny that they can show Gandhi frozen and mention his name, but him actually being a character that’s where they draw the line

The original characters were not super recognizable at first glance, but the new ones looks even worse.
Over complicated designs in my opinion, the best one is confusio, and that is literally sad bro.

Id argue everyone from the original cast was recognizable for who they were except for maybe Joan. Of the new cast only columbus and frida are recognizably based on them

i feel like one of the main reasons the new designs clash a lot is the stark contrast of the old designs darker/muted colors vs the new ones’ brighter and more saturated ones. but i think it also fits the fact that theyre from different generations, so i dont have that much of a problem with it

imo, the reason that the new characters look so obviously new is actually just cuz their clothing and style, which actually makes perfect sense considering they’re teens in the 2020’s, obvi they’re not gonna blend in with the 2000’s fashion of the other characters. I think the character designs themselves would blend in with the original, its just the fashion that’s throwing people off.

my main gripe besides missing our boy ghandi is that the new characters stand out way too much compared to the older designs, the older ones having more neutral-ish tones while all of the new ones have bright pinks and yellows and blues, they don’t look bad per se but they do not match the surrounding cast at all

People need to understand that clone high was a parody of everything out during the time period so respectively they couldn’t really continue the show without changing it. It’s the main reason why it has so much charm, plus the gags were much more clever too while being stupid enough to enjoy. Melodramatic tones of relationships, sexuality, historical characters/events, and extreme stereotypes lmao.

the only reason the artstyle is diffrent is due to going to digital art rather then drawn like it was more common back in 2003, i miss hand drawn shows now since if they DID make them, it would stsbd out compared to digital stuff, but it would also take longer to make episodes

I watched the first episode and thought it was pretty good actually (update: I saw the second ep and it was waaaay better than the 1st, and from people who've seen the whole season say it gets even better. Also also ghandi may come back in season 4!)
