About to take my grade 6 this spring and I'm so nervous for it, although I am excited to embark on grade 7 for 2023. Sadly my GSCEs will get in the way of 7 and 8 but it's all worth it for this! Great playing, it helped me make my decision on which ones to choose. 😁😁😁 👏👏👏

Certainly the best video I've found of grade 7 piece performances. I'm about to start on the syllabus, 32 years after passing grade 6 (the only grade I've ever passed). At the moment I'm thinking A2, B1 & C2 if I do the standard practical exam. If I do the performance grade I'll probably add the Gershwin arrangement of The Man I Love.

I just turned grade 4. I just started learning piano last year july and my teacher said I progressed quickly. Seeing the grade 7 pieces, I want to progress even quicker just to learn these grade 7 pieces😩

Hello, i’ve just completed Grade 6 and i’m loving these pieces but I can’t choose between B1 and B3!! I always wanted to choose a piece I love the sound of and the harmony in both is gorgeous.

For B1, I feel I like it more, it’s something that would be on my playlist, it’s right up my street, but I think it would be harder for me to learn overall.

For B3 the amount of chords is something that i’m able to learn well, but I always enjoy minor majority pieces but the rhythm in it would be easier for me! Anyways, at the moment i’m leaning towards A1, B1 and C2.

I’m sceptical about A1 due to the length, but the more I listen the more I love it! ❤

There are too many bad recordings of these pieces on YouTube but this is definitely one of the good ones 👍

That last piece sounds horrifying and i mean that in the best way possible - I've been really into atonal pieces lately (particularly scriabin) so it's really cool to see a piece like it in the exam collection!

A2, B3, but unsure which C to do, I like all 3. I play jazz so I would get my hands under it and its quite groovy, 2 my left hand argeggios tend to get super clean and the peice has amazing tension and release, 3 is just so out there that I might actually like it, the way of learning wpuld ne similar to A2 id imagine.

thats probably one of the worst pieces ive ever heard, but maybe thats because i dont understand it enough (im grade 4)
