I’m very excited for the new format. I think having two separate videos for the review and interview is the best option. Easy to gage how long each part is by looking at the thumbnails this way.

you rock. The new idea sounds like a great "why not both?" outcome. Personally I'd paste them together, as if I were to watch the interview, most likely would be right after your review.

Since this seems to be getting more and more work, you should know that if it ever becomes too much, just drop fewer videos per month and chill out. Your followers will survive a lower frequency, but they won't survive pulling a Siraj!

I like the sound of the new format. It makes sense for you to be able to speak openly about the paper, and then give the authors a chance to explain/defend it. Thinking back to you BYOL video from last year, I found it really interesting how you would "draw in the margins" and explain how you were conceptualising the paper. It allowed me to think more about the concept as a whole, rather than just the specifics of the paper.

I think that's probably a good change going forward. A good balance between giving it your best analysis beforehand and still giving the authors a chance to respond.
I also honestly find, that you reviewing a paper makes it stick more clearly than doing the same together with an author in interview format, as you sometimes go into really breaking down how, say, some loss works or what not, which isn't a thing you'd tend to put in an interview. But the authors can clearly also add a lot. - How much seems to depend not only on the paper in question but also on how good the authors are at interviews, but either way, it's nice to have all sides of the content

For myself, paper reviews are really important. When you explain things in detail I see a value in your explainings and I like that.

I really like your videos and I recomend them to my students. Giving visual explanations “here is a cat“ greatly helps to get an intuition for the models.

I think there is clearly room for more video producers like yourself. other creators should take note as well: videos demonstrating the step by step math of cutting edge papers have demand. author interviews are also great and interesting but they are more relevant for people who are already skilled at machine learning, whereas what I was loving from your content is the intermediate level explanations. I think that you should do what you want and others should also make content like this if they have interest in doing so. for a while I was trying to train the YouTube recommender to recommend official author demo papers, it stopped, probably because I'm not as consistent about watching them as I am high production value practiced YouTuber content, heh. more stuff like you, Henry Labs, etc is always great - don't feel like you need to do everything, focus on the most useful stuff for your skills and interest, imo.
