I'm sorry but I have zero optimism and I do think that what Trump wants is seen by everyone else as surrender AND appeasement. Trump treats Zelensky like and enemy and Putin like a bed fellow. He's made his opinions now and in the past loudly clear.

I don’t think this is the right time for Zellensky to go to Washington until everything he is demanding is granted. If it’s another attempt to pressure him to agree for something not in line with what he really wants a true and just peace. He wants peace that will last forever not just to accommodate someone.

Zelensky agreed to a 30 day cease fire and he needs do do like Putin will do, build weapons stockpiles 24/7. Putin is not through with Ukraine he will be back. European countries had better build their defenses to the max and keep them that way.
