BSC Professional Internship Program

Professional Internships are offered to college age students interested in pursuing careers in theatre. Interns work with award-winning theatre professionals while spending a summer in the thriving theatre culture of the Berkshires, just a few hours from Boston and New York. Participants are chosen through a competitive application process to train and gain professional experience in various facets of Equity theatre. Barrington Stage interns have gone on to MFA programs and to professional theatre careers throughout the U.S.

Applicants must show a strong interest in furthering their professional development and a commitment to working as part of a team in a top notch theatre setting.

Internships are available in carpentry, lights, sound, scenic painting, costumes, wardrobe, development, marketing, arts administration, education, stage management, house management, company management, and box office. Housing and weekly stipend of $90 are provided. Car not required but recommended.
