I looked into this case, apparently he survived an attempt on his life with a gun- and through this surgery, this young man now has a new lease on life. It’s beautiful. Modern medicine is so incredible, and I hope he’s doing well still ❤️

I'm not disgusted by the gore and stuff, I'm just amazed that they managed to literally take off half of his face without killing him. Humanity sure is awesome. But again even that the guy survived a blast to the face is a miracle in itself

I feel the deepest respect towards all the people who took part in this. I cannot even fathom what it would mean to be able to remove someone's face and bones in order to give it to the recipient and doing this major job. Awesome!

Surgeons are the strongest most metal people in the world. I know many do go to therapy (which is totally understandable and I do not think makes them weak at all btw), but my point still stands. The fact people can do this as their job and still be even somewhat mentally stable is so impressive. I would be vomiting violently into the nearest trash can the minute they began lifting up the face skin off the face, or maybe even sooner. I have incredibly high respect for these people.

The scope of the entire procedure is intimidating to me. I'm...truly, truly impressed. This surgery and its consequent success was nothing short of the epitome of human ability. Highest accolades!
