Let's not forget the young lady who died from an overdose, she is the reason she has a face today. Praying for both of their families. This is heart-breaking.

Her story wakes me up, depression definitely needs more attention in this country

I fight suicidal thoughts almost daily. Watching this helps. I hope that doesn’t sound terrible to say. I’ve lived a very emotionally painful life. It’s definitely not been easy!

She was gorgeous! It’s so sad she did this to herself over some guy... no person/breakup is ever worth going through this kind of shit.

Honestly if this happened to me I wouldn’t want to live anymore, so it’s really inspiring seeing her still have a will to go on.

My heart breaks for her. My sister took her life with a gun at the age of 14 becauseof a break up. It changed our family forever. She was my best friend, my everything! I'm happy this young lady got a second chance. God bless her & her parents!🙏❤🙏

I can’t imagine the pain she is going through. To only have yourself to blame and then to have the will to keep going is amazing.

To any teenager reading this. You must believe the adults who have been through this. Your pain won't last!!! There are millions of other people out there and you never know if you will get back together with that person or not. It could happen 20 years down the road like it has with many high school sweethearts. If you kill yourself, you will never have the chance to see that person again, and everyone else you love!

I was actually in the hospital at the same as her when I got my kidney and liver transplant, my mom stayed in the Ronald Macdonald house during the 3 months I was out there since we're not from Cleveland and one day when my mom came to visit she told me she met Katie's mom and they were swapping stories. My mom said her mom was a very down to earth, nice, compasionate woman.

I cant't believe that people are blaming her boyfriend. This is not his fault. She is the one who did this to herself. People have the right to break up with their partner.. It's none of your business.

She was literally the most beautiful girl I have every seen. I can't believe a breakup with a boy could push someone to suicide. No relationship is worth trying to kill yourself over.

Thank you to the donor who donated their body so people like this woman can have a quality of life far higher than would have been possible without these medical procedures. Amazing ❤️

Please people: if you are feeling depressed and are in that dark place, just push through to make it to the next day. That moment in time when you feel like ending things will pass. Life is a gift! Please seek help and speak with someone! Anyone. Even a stranger. Whatever you do, do not harm yourself. God bless you!

To be perfectly honest, I'm having a hard time feeling inspired by this story. To me it's just sad.

I can relate to the Mom. We have guilt even when we don’t deserve it.
