People only start screaming when they know their position is weak… sad to see how representative of Amnesty International is so shaky in her views that she could not have a constructive dialogue.
Who is to blame? Everyone who made Hamas existence possible. Regime in Iran, neighboring countries who empowering regime in Iran, countries of the west, who are closing their eyes on the fact that their trade money are funding terrorism. But oh nooo, this is too unpleasant topic to think about. It’s way easier to just assign the blame on 2 countries, which are both suffering from this terrorism.

Amnesty International isn't a neutral organization as it has to be. Agnès Callamard always support hir clams by international law, but forgets to mention that it allows to attack civilian infrastructure like schools and universities, when militants operate within.

Funny to see how they don't understand each other: Katerina from the war world ("they attacked, so now let's kill them all"), Agnes from the humanitarian world ("let's forgive and understand them all")... But as professional, Katerina should have asked Agnes to explain her insinuating the Israel's responsibility for Hamas' acts... Meanwhile, Hamas and Netanyahu help each other to stay in power 🤬

Who is to blame? The easy answer would be "Both sides, of course". BUT in reality there is one person who's been behind all these terribly blody and at the same time illogical "conflicts" and armed aggressions and you well know who he is.
All of them are parts of the same war on the main foe he has: the US. Only that, apart from hybrid attacks (Cyber & Propaganda) he has always done it through others. (ISIS, Hamas, Houthies, etc). Then, using the same methodology, he did it "indirectly" against Ukraine, his "Intermediate" objective, in 2014. Directly, because it is a weaker opponent, in 2022 and now he has orquestrated this latest of senseless "wars" between Israel and Hamas/Gaza/Palestine. 3 objectives there: 1) Helping the would be dictator of Israel remain in power, no matter what crimes he has commited or wil commit, same as with Trump in the US. 2) Make the Biden adm. look bad and receive criticism wether it supports one party to the conflict or the other. 3) Distract our attention and the Media's, specially, form his war on Ukraine and at eh same time, give people another subject of discord among we "western audiences" and distract us from discussing and addresing the VERY REAL problems we face: Climate change, Desperate last moves from Oil-Based Autocracies (Russia being among them of course) before we finally move from an Oil-Dependent economy, etc. (and this interview is a good example of that, even if this news outlet is originally from Russia, isn't it?)

If you are going to interview someone who specializes in the field of human rights, don't go there armed with the occupation politicians' characterization of the occupied people as terrorists in order to stigmatize and marginalize them. You also don't go there without solid background knowledge of the context in which the current events occur. Basically, as Dr. Callamar has told you, Netanyahu, as the head of a state that subjugates another nation, is by definition not democratic. Read some books on the subject. For example, start with the book by former US President Jimmy Carter entitled: Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid. He knows what he's talking about. Dr. Agnes Callamar knows what she is talking about.

The interviewer does not seem to understand the difference between Israeli Arabs and Palestinians living in the occupied territories.
