Hey all! Thanks for stopping by for another episode. We took a more laid-back, walk-and-talk approach this time. What did you think? Do you prefer this casual vibe, or are you more into our usual pace?

As always, we will catch you next Thursday! ❤

We live in CT. You are correct. We are taxed to fart here. Our 5th wheel tax is 2000.00 our truck is 2000.00. If you aren't on th highway, there are very low bridges. Campgrounds are scarce, and expensive. They tax your home, cars, toys, groceries, everything. You pay 10 cents for a bag at a store!!! They are not just RV unfriendly, they are people unfriendly. I am not a transplant, born and raised here. We are hoping to move to PA. In the future..taking care of my 95 year old Dad. We don't camp in CT.

I saw you guys at Walmart on Sunday, You were just leaving when I was going in in so I didn't get a chance to say hi. I'm a long time RV guy with about five years to go until retirement, your videos are a real inspiration to me! I never miss an episode of HEH. Travel safe!

We live in NH, and we agree that camping up here is more welcoming than a lot of states in New England. Enjoy your trip!

I lived in the New London area for 45 years. I retired from the shipyard across the river from Crockers. One of the Casino tribes tried to put a RV park on their land up in Preston and the neighbors and the town fought them until they dropped the project. They do NOT like RVers there. They think we are noisy, rambunctious, and are some how not people you want near your neighborhood. The property taxes there are exorbitant. We became South Dakotans as soon as we could. We are not going back except to visit friends & Family.

You totally need an EZ Pass. it'll save money, especially if you have mail routed---they don't play with the late fees.

If you can, make a stop in Newport, RI and take a couple of mansion tours…especially The Breakers.

As a resident of MA i strongly suggest to get EZ pass, it works for most tolls in the country. I have one and traveled from MA to IA without any issues. Routes travelled from home to Iowa I-495, I-90, I-84, I-81, I-80.This route is the least expensive to head out west. EZpass in MA costs less than pay-by-plate. The I-95 corridor is the elitist section of CT. There is a lot of high dollar areas and high dollar homes.

Your better bet when going through CT to ME is take I-81 out of Scranton to I-84 through a small part of Upstate NY then into CT stay on I-84 to I-90 in MA(the only toll road until ME, besides the Newburgh bridge toll in NY) then get on to I-95 to ME. That is unless you want to see the coast line of CT.

FYI… Many states have a web site that you can log into and pay your tolls right there. If you wait for mail, you could incur additional fees.

I'm from northeast. FYI tolls are based on number of axles so don't confuse what you've read at the tolls as what you'll be charged. And you are both 100% correct. Camping in the northeast at least along the coast can be troublesome because of the limited amount of campgrounds available. Good luck on your journey. I think once you reach New Hampshire and Maine you won't be disappointed

I live in Massachusetts. Our roads are tough in the northeast due to all the freezing and thawing. Definitely get an ez-pass. If you forget about your bill you will be faced with some large fines. I do hope you enjoy your stay and see the magic of all the leaves. It’s a beautiful time of year up here in our neck of the woods. Hopefully some day we can meet up.

Paying by mail is often 50% more expensive than with a pass. Unfortunately, you will likely not receive the bills until they are past due. We were sent to collections for Houston tolls where the bills had not even reached us. By all means, get a pass. We traveled that area this summer and have paid over $200 in tolls. We stayed at Nature's Campground in Voluntown, CT and I think it was about $75 a night. As for lobster, you can buy them at the Hanneford Grocery for about $9.99 a pound and they will cook them for you. We bough a total of 9 lobsters for under $100. It's a great deal

As a RVer living in New England, CT has the highest site fees. You can camp for half the cost in all of the other New England states. As for EZ pass, it is good in 19 states on the east coast. Your toll will be less with it. When you come to Old New England make sure you have a RV GPS. Narrow roads and low bridges. By the way you will love it.😊

A month ago, we passed 4 nights in Connecticut. We stayed at Riverdale Farm Campsite and we loved it. Close to the coast. Super peaceful. Located between New Haven and Mystic. 55$ a night. We will return for sure !

It mak s me sad that you’re disappointed in my home state. Spots on the coast have a premium, just like CA. CT has no tolls. It’s the states coming into CT. I love you guys. I am a seasonal in Eastford CT they always have sites available and it’s in a beautiful place on a river. Have fun! Hope to meet you some day. ❤️💞

CT.. the state with the electric company that charges you what you use... then multiplies it by 2 as a "delivery fee" 😂

Hi there! The reason the northeast is so expensive and has few RV parks is because The RV season is short, the taxes are expensive and it’s highly congested especially in the metro area or near the beaches.
