Remaking a Cake FAIL (Hyperrealistic Orange Cake)

A little over a year ago, I made a hyperrealistic cake of an orange -- and it's haunted me ever since 💀 So this week, I'm trying again and using a brand-new technique. Do you think I was able to improve this hyperrealistic orange cake compared to last time? Let me know in the comments!

Can you make a half a coconut cake next? With coconut water inside? I think that would be interesting, and the hairs on the shell would look really cool. And the cake inside could be coconut flavoured.

The peeled orange looks absolutely real. But the other one looks too perfect. I think it needs some imperfections to look like the real thing.

The half orange cake came out amazing! The slice looks like a painted orange, but it was hard to tell if it was special because it cut so similarly to how a real orange would.

it definitely is an upgrade from the last one. Though I do feel that the half with its peel on looks a bit fake but I also feel the same with some real oranges. Like they just seem fake even though I know they are real.
