Hi Laura, thanks for a lovely episode. So many aspirational knits and crochets! I thought I would share a tip I use to create a stretchy cuff on my 2 x 2 ribbed socks. When I knit cuff down socks, I add an extra stitch to each purl column. That is, for a 60 stitch sock I will cast on 75 stitches, knit 2, purl 3 for the first 3 rounds, then purl 2 together in each purl column in the next round to reduce down to 60 stitches and a 2 x 2 rib. The extra purl stitch is invisible but it gives stretch to the cast on while most of the cuff still has enough grippiness for the sock not fall down.

Welcome to the curly girl club! Your hair looks fantastic (and lol, get ready for the humidity frizz in the summer)! Yes please to more vlog style videos, those are fun to watch! You've definitely inspired me to start a scrappy crochet blanket - what a perfect way to use up those final scrappy bits.

I would love an Easter week vlog episode. 🩵
The changes you‘ve made to the midland cardigan are so worth the extra time and work. It looks wonderful! 🌸 The black buttons are a good choice.

Embrace the frizz. Can’t do anything about it really, and curls are more fun anyway. I also have very fine, but a lot of 2C-3A hair. For those knots, if you want to avoid the glue, grab a felting needle and give them a few jabs. Works on everything: wool, cotton, acrylic, you name it.

Good to see you again. Love your natural hair texture.💖 You immediately gave me a Taylor Swift vibe; she also has naturally wavy/curly hair. Natalie inspired me to crochet the Hexie blanket too! Take care

Love your pink cardigan Laura. All the blankets are gorgeous, I would love to make the patchwork baby blanket when it’s released.
You are soooo clever ❤ keep mr orange, it definitely adds to the design

Laura, I am a person who hyper focuses on things too! I can't tell you how many projects I've started and abandoned, and how much *stuff* I have for things I was really into for a little while. Knitting also has been the thing for me that really stuck. My most recent thing was crochet, and I've got hooks of every size, and I've even made a sweater, but I've completely abandoned it... I'm hoping to pick it up again soon. Also, cross stitch.

I’ve seen this shawl a couple places but then didn’t make note of where I saw it or who made it. Glad to have come upon your vlog today and I just ordered the pattern.❤

LOVE the cardigan and am looking forward to the blanket! I also have curly hair :) I'm REALLY enjoying seeing all the ways you use up your left over yarn! Thanks so much for another wonderful episode!

I absolutely LOVE the hair!! I'm curly myself, and I have a strong belief that curly hair needs some amount of frizz or it honestly just looks weird 🤣! It really is a journey to figure out curly hair - I'm glad you've embarked and are enjoying the ride!

I adore your curly hair and I’m so glad you are embracing it too. My daughter went through a similar relationship struggle with her curls but is back to nurturing them now.

I’m with you regarding the holes in crochet. Your blanket is beautiful!! I crocheted many years ago and this makes me want to take it up again. Your hair looks great on you. Smart idea to embrace it! Can’t get over how much Penny looks like your little git pic! Adorable ❤

The new Stella Quilt pattern is so lovely! My quilters heart loves it. I also agree, crochet puff stitches are so fun to make! I love all the blankets.

Your hair looks amazing. I have 4 boys and they all embrace their curls.
I do get your mental health struggles, I had 3 years of counselling. After 2 years off I’m back with it. I know it’s such hard work but it is worth it.
Loved all your projects both crochet and knitted 🥰
