RG Kar murder case: Junior doctors call for 12-hour hunger strike, urge supporters to join

Kolkata (West Bengal): Junior doctors and medical students, protesting against the RG Kar rape-murder case, have announced a 12-hour hunger strike from 9 am to 9 pm tomorrow. The protesters said that additionally, six of them will also sit on an 'indefinite' hunger strike. The junior doctors also said that a symbolic rally will be held on the same day and have called on supporters to join them in their protests. On August 9, a woman trainee doctor was found dead in the seminar hall of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. Dr Soumodip Roy, one of the junior doctors participating in the strike, said, "The people from our college have been on hunger strike for nearly two days now. It has been 36 hours, and the hunger strike will continue until the government meets our demands."

As of now 7 junior doctors are on hunger strike till governement meets the ten points which stand for justice and for safety in workplace and fairness in recruitment process and the abolishment of threat culture.
If you can please highlight that.
