This is a REALLY cool project you have there.

It warms my heart that you have documented it all!

I am planning on making a radio controlled "skydiver", or just a servo unit with 2 servos that control the control wires.

It would need a 2nd "pilot" besides the rc plane to control, if wanted.

@TheKiesza I actually don't think so, for top and bottom piece you'll need at least 4 x 1.4m and this 4m x 0.2m piece, which would be left won't be enough for 13 ribs.

@clayaway1 you could make one with either 7 or 9 cells. I haven't seen one with more or less except in a paraglider.

Yeah I can't find any material online anywhere!!! The only material I had was an old round reserve. Its some pretty heavy stuff for a canopy this tiny

Boy I did put my foot in my mouth didn't I. Sorry about that. Couple questions if I may, one, what size diver did you use on this size canopy and second, what size chute would be best for a 12 inch figure like the G.I Joe Action figures. Putting the canopy together as you show was a snap following your info videos, wish more people would do as well as you did. I am a disabled vet, kind of restricted to a rolling chair. Building these is very relaxing and gives me something to do with my self during the day. Again many thanks for your excellent

@busspuppy I think the micro is just a little bit too heavy for it and this canopy design focuses more on flight stability, on heading openings and slow canopy rides...In RC Skydiving you wanna do nice hook turns and and cool landings, don't you.

@CLayaway1 yes, but be careful, the profile is way to high for a para glider and the general shape would be wrong...

I'm trying to see if i should half the dimensions in order for it to be more scale for a GI Joe with RC stuff in it, but i was thinking about making it to the same specs and making a bigger jumper, but I want to see how much the fabric costs are. If you know, could you tell me how many yards of fabric you used in order to complete the project, it would be greatly appreciated. By the way, keep up the good work your canopys are amazing.

I can't say this for sure because it has been quite some time now since I made my last canopy but I guess 6 yards should be enough for a canopy of this scale.

@gliderpilotB I once made a Zero-Porosity canopy (the design from this video, higher angle of incidence) and it was just amazing! I had the same Glide-Ratio as my on my channel). Sorry I don't know how much i used of each color. I bought 10m x 1.6m of each and i have plenty left after 3 canopies. Unfortunately I can't find the fabrics only anymore (used to buy them from e-bay).

@busspuppy if I ever get around to it, I'm thinkin about designing a high performanced canopy to use for rc skydiving. An eliptical wing, closed cells, thin airfoil, collapsable pilot chute, mabey a reserve, deployment bag, and if I'm lucky, riser input! I wanna make it as high performanced as I can!

@Mihawkler Do you have any video of how to make the pattern like drawing it onto a paper and then putting it on cardboard? My mom dont know how to do the radius on 82 cm at 2.53 second.
