I watched this like 4 times, I've never thought of that before and omg this is so beautifully done. That technique adds so much to the finished piece!

Super cute! Wouldn’t the shadows be going towards the same direction? They’re both going different ways.

Wonderful... Just a teeny tiny mistake I noticed, the shadow of the purple lollipop's stick should also fall on the orange one.... That bothers me😅 otherwise, wonderful! Always love to learn more from you ❤️

Even the simplest art you make in these mini tutorials is soo good!

Put more (different) colors in your shadows! If you use only one color your shadow looks flat. When you have an orange lollipop for example, put some of that orange in there 🧡💜

Why is everyone talking about her calling it a sucker instead of a lollipop, when she made a beautiful watercolor drawing?

That’s fun, but in my country we really calls ice peaks “suckers” and lollipops are “icy thing”

I envy people who can just paint like this

Ive heard people say sucker when I was a child so I know what it means but I didn’t think anyone legitimately considered using it over the word “lollipop”

I see some people replacing the watercolour term 'layering' with the oil painting term 'glazing'. You can 'layer' in both mediums. And if you added a lot of gum arabic to watercolour then I guess you could 'glaze'. But 'glaze' means glass. In oil painting it is an optical effect of the light passing through an oil heavy mix. This isn't that. This is 'layering'.

There are some paints that dont remain as a first color.. when removing the glaze both come off...something i need to keep notes on. Sennelier seems to do a little better on the whole...

Why do the lollipops cast a shadow in different directions?

Oooh maybe you can also glaze the shadow? In the colour of the candy. To show that it is not totally opaque and some colored light come through to the shadow
