McGill University was founded in 1821, and is located in the heart of Montréal, Canada. Named after a scottish merchant; James McGill, the university boasts over 40,000 students.

Being a highly requested University amongst the fam, it was imperative that the Milkman paid a visit to the campus in order to parlay with the students.

Let's hear what they had to say...

What is/was your experience at McGill like?

McGill is incredibly hard, the students have unfailingly diligent work ethics, and it is a fantastic place to go to university. I am so beyond grateful for my experiences there! I miss McGill and Montreal all the time.

Freshman year classes being the hardest is SO TRUE, they're definitely trying to weed people out

I went to McGill. It’s definitely a really tough school but I don’t know what that guy is talking about regarding grade adjustments. I didn’t know any profs who bumped up grades easily at all.

You don't "go to" McGill. You "attend" McGill. That's the first thing I learned at McGill.

As a McGillian, I wish I could have known more about the grading scale. It can be super hard to get A’s🥲🥲🥲

Dear MilkManTV, great videos and great interviews. If it’s not too much trouble can you also chat with graduate (Masters and Ph.D.) students?

Hey can you interview MS students like this, not only undergrad .
It would be helpful to know if the grad and undergrad have different opinions.

My aunt went here and is now a professor, also her boyfriend taught here until recently. I’m just gonna ask them questions all the time (they don’t teach at McGill now).

I never heard of bribes or changing a grade without a valid reason .. I think in Science faculty, freshman year is the easiest and the one you will enjoy the most. It will only get harder after as the content becomes harder. Also for computer science degrees Mcgill is known to be theory based and that is true. They do not make group projects a big part of classes (I wrote so many proofs and so few actual code in 5 years)

Thank you for very hopeful information. I have 16 years ahead to prepare for my son. Should put French in the must-do list now :D

Science U1 will kill you no jokes, I cried so much but if you can get past that it's a little bit better.. Also if you can create study groups, by all means do it (saved my grades so many times because we would go over everything together and we all understood some things better than others so it helped explaining the concepts)
