I literally was skipping that ad footage lol

Artist. You're the only youtuber I know that fully leans into the sci-fi theme... even "just" for a review or contemplation on gear. Love your style man. You know lenses, light, filtration, grading, SOUND (people don't use this enough). Cheers! Love watching this kind of content. Make Art Now and Andreas Hem are also creative like this. I love youtubers who stick to quality over quantity, for the sake of making a good impactful video that meets your vision. Not giving into the algorithm daily video stuff. <3

Your videos are like watching regular camera reviews but in the Ghost in the shell universe (90's anime version). I love it!

I like that such a well used camera, with all its dents, scuffs, tapes... is being valorized as you did. Finally something different to watch and still high end editing! Well done!

Your videos are ALWAYS absolutely next level, like damn the colours and all is just amazing!

This video was one of several which inspired me to pick up a used A7S Mark I with a 1800 shutter count. Since owning it, I've been stunned by how much better in low light and how much sharper it is than my Canon 5Dii and EOS M (which are my only two other cameras) I even used the A7S on a paid job filming a musician's album launch concert, and I can say the A7S blew the 5D out of the water!

Real question is who wants that new portable super computer I keep hearing about on YouTube? I think we live in the future now.

Haha, you tricked me with that ad footage.

I love the minor detail of replacing the year to 2045 and with your point in 8:50, the number doesn't matter. It's timeless and they were the "flagship" for a reason.

You got me at the obsolescence.. the whole video was great, but being able to have the mindfulness and knowledge of exactly what you discussed in the obsolescence section is rare to come by nowadays.
So many people are specification chasers and want the newest and best without having a true need for them. Thumbs up from me. 👍🏼

I'm blown away by your creativity man. Wish I had a ounce of inspiration you have. You clearly put in so much effort on the visualisation / sound aspect of your reviews. True artist.

8:50 seconds to the end, thank you for saying that. Everything now seems to be so fast paced in terms of how often things are updated, and it feels great to know that something doesn't lose its relevance just because there is something new and enticing out there

There are photography/camera youtube channels, there are camera companies and corporations, but the production quality, the contents and contained message, and the almost guided audio-visual meditation aspect of every video makes this absolutelly unparalelled by anyone.
Thank you mr. Kavanaugh for your dedication and stunning work

(so I'll probably pull the trigger on the X-T2, when I have the chance, to get into digital)

Your videos are amazingly shot. Love the use of physical effect and the b-roll quality! Also very informative. Deserves a lot more views!

I’m totally with you on wanting smaller cameras and smaller lenses. That form factor is more important to me than the extra features we’re getting these days at the expense of size and weight. Great video man. I love your perspective on photography and video making. I’m gonna check out your presets as well. Thanks.

One thing about your video that sticks to me is: "It doesn't matter how much times passes, that image is still going to look good". Something I will keep in mind if I want to get a new body. Maybe I just don't need that new body, just have fun with my current one.

Thank you for your originality in these videos and for showing us that we don't always need the newest camera on the market to get great results. It's a healthy reminder that all creatives need to hear.

My A7s has been my work horse for concert photography for years now. Stoked to see you talking about it. I want to get an Xpro 3 terribly bad, but will honestly never sell my Sony for so many reasons
