The video game is outside of movie canon and Genie is a magic superbeing which means he exists outside of the spacetime continuum and can spend time in his bottle witnessing future television. Though the game clearly takes place in the future.

•Oil lamps like the one depicted in the movie were common in 9, 000 BC, with potential materials being stone, clay, ceramic, and copper. Genie's home appears to be made of copper, which first came into use 11, 000 years ago. Stone lamps have existed for some 25, 000 years.
•Genie is a cosmic being, able to see into the past *and* into the future. Why *not* mimic the funnest man in history to cope with his situation?

This might be crazy, but hear me out. MAYBE, it's a stretch, I know, but MAYBE... GENIE SAW OR CAN TRAVEL THROUGH TIME AND SPACE!
Also, the videogame isn't canon! With that idiotic logic than it means that Gideon was then there when Pinocchio was swimming away with the tunas from Monstro since he was present in that level, or that like ONE videogame stated, Dumbo's circus director is so evil he'd be happy to stole his happy ending, or that all Disney's movies are attacked by giant dark ants that are exterminated by a spiky haired boy with a key for a sword! DUDE! I love creativity with theories as the next guy, but there's "you might up to something" and then there's "you think they would go THAT far for a 4th wall break joke with the lore?"
