I cant imagine a more bizarre existence that to be 3000 ft down, its pitch black all the time, all you do is float and drift, you cant see anything, and you could go your entire life and never touch something solid. Imagine these creatures brains, no forms, no structures, no day, no night, just pitch black and icey cold. Right now those things are out there, floating around in cold black water, and that is all they know.
