How to fit a new 3 Pin Mini XLR connector to a headphone cable for AKG or Beyerdynamic

Hey so, each part has its own left, right, and ground depending on the model right? I bought a cable mod for my DT990’s and I know the 1, 2, 3 is in the description, but how was it found? I have a vague idea but I’m really curious as to how it can be found. Each left, right and ground. 🙏
