Lead Strategies: When to Switch From Pentatonic to Harmonic Minor

There are times when a spicier scale is appropriate. When playing in a minor key that has the major V (five) chord - alarms should go off and bells should ring: "....NOW IS TIME FOR HARMONIC MINOR!"

I can't get over how great that guitar sounds in your hands..lol. I love it. If I were a student though, you would kick me out of class. My dyslexia and old timers is making it impossible for me to learn how I should be learning. It's looks so simple, and I can imagine myself playing it, but like you say if you don't learn what notes are where and how to use them, etc etc, you are noodling. That's me. A 70 year old noodler that has come to accept my fate. Beautiful work Eric. A pat on the back for you. I can't earn one for myself. But I still enjoy imagining. In the 60's I was a great air guitarist..lol Great lesson I will watch it and watch it, and try my best. Thank you.
