Glacier Bay Shower Leaking | Future Work |Cartridge Change

Paid job: Leaking single handle glacier bay shower valve. Took the shower valve apart to change the cartridge and realized the valve body was not attached to anything. After changing the cartridge I added a block of wood behind the valve and secured it to the wood with some screws. I also noticed the shower head moving all around so I added a strap. Put everything back together and tested. DO NOT USE braided supply lines to install a shower valve. Unfortunately, I do not have time to fix everything. After testing I informed the tenant what was done. She was extremely happy!! 😃

Good work. When you come across braided lines behind the walls do you let the owner know?

Moen Positemp is my go to. Landlord here, and whenever I need to replace a shower valve I put in a Moen.

Dude I assumed you included the hardware with your price. 450 sounds about right in Ohio.
In California that’s a deal!

I installed a glacier Bay lav faucet. I always pull the aerator and run water to flush any rust and sand out of the lines. When I did that with the glacier Bay faucet, water went into the cabinet by running down the inside of the faucet.. Dumb design.

I thought your $450 included parts (and your new tool 😁). I think $80 is low. But you don't live here and I don't live there.
