*2023* THROWING EVERYTHING OUT! A FRESH START EXTREME CLEANING MOTIVATION // DECLUTTER KIDS ROOM!

Welcome to the first extreme cleaning motivation video of 2023! In this video I will be throwing everything out for a fresh start. Come clean with me as I declutter the kids room and FINALLY get rid of this mess and shed some mental stress! I made this cleaning super easy by deciding to tell myself that if it is on the floor..then it is in the trash! I have tried many storage ideas small and big and the reality is that it is just to much to manage for a child and I no longer want to manage this! I want to ensure I can allow her own confidence building through her own routines and keep things minimal so we can start fresh this year and focus on other aspects of life AND still manage our spaces and home in a functional way!!

Are you going to be making any extreme home changes this year as far as decluttering or new routines for your schedule?? Would love to talk about it below. I felt a little bad as a mom doing this, but also did not because she did not even care HAHAHA

I think all the long-time viewers saw this coming lol. And although it makes for great content, I can't imagine how mentally exhausting it is to keep doing these types of cleans. So, bravo for starting to tackle the root behaviours creating this chaos!

I did this when my daughter was around 8/9 years old, she was overwhelmed with all the stuff, she expressed to me one day "Mom this is your fault, you are the one that buys me everything" that hit me like a ton of bricks! Very huge learning lesson for me as a mom, she is going on 21 with her own place now and we have the greatest relationship! Good mom you are being by helping her! 👍🏽💐

Finally, a “real” mom. You are so relatable and honest. I’m sick to death of the fake Insta lives, that you know just aren’t real. You did great mum! Sending love from England 🇬🇧

I think a lot of us moms have been in your position! 2023 I'm focusing on ME. My kids and husband can (and hopefully will) get on board and stop leaving me to be their maid, organizer, planner, chef, etc. I'm done pouring from an almost empty cup! You got this momma!

I am new here, I am a 71 year old grandmother, you made my day when I watched you. I loved the way you tackled this room. ❤ I would have done the same as you, broom and all. I have realized if an adult is overwhelmed you can only imagine how a child feels. ❤ 😍

Your video popped up as a random recommendation. Glad I clicked on it. As an adult, I can say with full honesty that when your daughter is a little older she is going to appreciate what lessons you’re teaching her. Few and special is much more important than many and broken and replaceable. ✨

I did this for my 2 daughters who share a room when they were younger. Got rid of everything. Including clothes they didn’t wear and were still in good condition. They learned real quick to keep their room clean after that. Sometimes we have to be tough on them. They also learn to value what you give them. You did good!! Don’t be hard on yourself.👍

What a beautiful kindness you have done for your daughter! I have no idea why kids churn through their all belongings without actually playing with any of it. I believe it’s a sign of overwhelm and discontentment. Having only the few things you truly love helps you feel grateful and contented and invested in and responsible for you possessions. It’s a fantastic life lesson. Well done!

I am 65 and did this so many times I would cry, finally I threw everything out except what they really played with, they were not happy at first but the end result was we were all so much happier ! Kids have so much they get overwhelmed too! You are a great mom !

I'm a newcomer here but I just had to say that I really appreciate your honesty in this video!!! Admitting faults & failings is so hard but like you said, we're all human. & it's so nice to feel connected to a stranger through REAL life situations like this so we feel less alone❤️ new fan, here!

Girl! My daughter is 10 and she is FINALLY starting to realize I cannot keep cleaning up her messes. Her room looked exactly like this a few days ago and last night I walked in after she went to bed and I could see the floor and she had actually cleaned it all up on her own!!! You did awesome with the new set up and the cleaning. She will thank you later!

Momma, you are NOT failing. Parenting is a learning experience for everyone involved - you find out what works for you & what doesn't. I remember doing this at LEAST twice when my kiddos were younger. You're doing a great job!

Thank you for being so vulnerable! It takes a lot to show the world not only your struggles but your families. A lot of people are going to take this video and apply it to their own lives and also make their family life and home life better for themselves and their children. Physical clutter really does affect your mental well being and I'm so proud and admire you for sharing!

Good job mama. When my kids used to say they were bored, I would give them a cleaning sure to do.😂😂😂 they stopped saying they were bored. Shannon, at least like a tree sent me.❤

I applaud you for doing this! As a child, I was never taught how to clean and had my room emptied by my mom. Now, as an adult, I have ocd about clutter. It's a reality check that I needed. You're doing great!

This hit me right in the guts. My sons room gets like this. When you said your daughter can’t manage the things she has I thought “this is my answer”. I can get his room together in a way he can manage it. ❤ thanks for the inspo.
